Many British expats are in the dark about UK inheritance tax (IHT) on death.
Expats who live overseas as a non-tax resident, are still liable for IHT on death, even if they have lived abroad for many years, unless they have taken a new Domicile of choice, which is very difficult to do.
In this episode, I discuss with Jordan Donald what IHT is, when it's due and how people with foreign spouses have potentially a higher IHT bill and how to reduce this death tax burden.
